U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez ruled Thursday that a 33-year-old California law banning “assault weapons” is unconstitutional. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is starting his trip to China in perhaps the most politically incendiary Asian city possible. Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) has held leadership positions in the House before, but now, he is running for the highest position, speaker of the House.
