When Ian's 5-year-old son got upset about having to give his tooth to the Tooth Fairy, Ian wrote Brushalot: The Tale of the Tooth Fairy to answer his son's questions: WHO is the Tooth Fairy? WHY does she need his baby teeth? WHY do we need to brush and floss our teeth? Ian discovered there were no "real stories" about the Tooth Fairy like his, which features relatable characters including her brother, Sir Brushalot, his brave horse DEN-TIST, and evil Uncle Prince Plaque from Cavity Castle. The message for kids: the lifelong importance of brushing their teeth.


Now Ian is turning the characters in the book into what he hopes will become a Tooth Fairy toy and animated film market.
