An incredible show. We were joined by Rich Coutinho a beat reporter for the Mets for WFAN.com. Rich spoke to us for about an hour and half, covering topics ranging from rebuilding the Mets, Sandy Alderson's work so far and what he is going for, similarities between this team and the 1983-84 rebuild, the players belief in what Alderson is doing, how Rex Ryan can get the town and the Jets back, how reporters can and should treat anonymous sources, what covering a team means now with social media and the race to be first, what statement the baseball writers made with their HOF vote, what happened with Clemens and Piazza when the bat flew, lots of personal anecdotal stuff about covering teams, to how to achieve personal goals and life balance stuff. It was fantastic.
We then talked about our super bowl watching experiences, and answered some of these questions: What's the best jar pasta sauce? PJ has worked on a NEVE board like the one in Sound City? Mel Brooks blessed Sanpete and his wife on their second date? What? Yup. We get to it all.
