Larry started in announcing at the Largo Lions Club Speedway in the 1950s. He has been working in that capacity ever since. Over 20 years at Sunshine Speedway, beginning in 1960. Worked with Dan Jones, Leo Musgrave and Gordon Solie.

He has been at Citrus County Speedway for over 20 years currently.
