Fighter Jessica Philippus and UFC 182 were on tap for Joe Rizzo (@RearNakedChoke) and Jay Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) on Rear Naked Choke Radio's first show of 2015. Philippus (@JessPhilippus) is getting back into the cage for the first time since 2012 on Jan. 10 when she fights at atomweight (105 pounds) on the RXC card in Corpus Christi, Tex. She talked about her amateur wrestling career, and the bumps along the road to get back into the cage, from motherhood to her original amateur MMA fight with Invicta champion Barb Honchak - who now fights 20 pounds heavier. Philippus lost her passion for MMA and tried the corporate world, only to storm back in after being spurred on by the TUF 20 tryouts. After talking to Jess, Joe and Jay broke down the disappointing UFC 182 card and looked at the state of UFC cards as we turn to 2015. The hosts also shared their opinions on Conor McGregor and the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Boston, Jan. 18.
