Valentine dug deep to share the painful parts of her past, both physically and emotionally, to allow her fans and our listeners into her life. While succeeding in a male-dominated industry, there's the obvious sexism the Alaskan faced. Valentine, however, went through much bigger obstacles. From a bitter custody battle, to being at once shunned and complimented by the public, Valentine persevered.
