Chris Olech, author of The Fighter Within: Every Fight Has A Story, chopped it up with Jason Kelly (@JayKellyMMA) on Rear Naked Choke Radio about his book and the similarities between being a champion in life and combat sports. Olech (@ChrisOlech) wrote a book, which was an eight-year journey, detailing the paths to greatness walked by the finest competitors in the sport. Included in the book is a foreword by Bas Rutten, and chapters with Fedor Emelianenko, Rashad Evans, Rory MacDonald and a lot more, but itâ??s the common theme between all subjects in the book that Olech found inspirational. The fun Olech had writing the book was outweighed by the struggles he went through to complete the tome. His passion for telling the stories drove him to see it through, but he spoke on the days of wanting to give up and how he found the fighter within himself. Along with being an author, Olech has been a freelance video journalist in MMA since 2009. He worked regional shows in Ontario, Canada, and eventually conducting interviews with the gameâ??s elite. Olech, a child of Polish immigrants to Canada, recently got the opportunity to interview UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Needless to say, it was one of the highlights of his career, especially since he could pronounce her last name correctly. Follow @RNCRADIO and our partners @CombatPress.
