Charlton Heston appeared in almost 100 films over the course of 60 years. Among the most memorable: The Greatest Show on Earth (1952),The Ten Commandments (1956), Ben-Hur (1959), The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965) and Planet of the Apes (1968). Charlton Heston died in April 2008. He was 84.
