Ben Yahola (Mvskoke) - The Food Sovereignty Movement - a podcast by Red Town Radio

from 2011-01-10T00:00

:: ::

Ben Yahola formerly of the Mvskoke Food Sovereignty Initiative, will address the food sovereignty movement issues and instutional racism within organizations as well as the institutions we operate in. Food injustice and the struggle by people of color to control the food system. Genetically engineered food sources are shortening our lives because we have been forced to buy what we can afford, but as we get more of our people to grow food - the available seeds are GE seeds and require GE chemicals for them to grow. Those seed engineers can not tell us the long term impact of what they've created, on us nor the ecology.
