Read Genesis 15:6. Then read Romans 4:1–8.
Note: “Justified” means a judge has declared someone on trial, “righteous.”
According to this text, was Abraham godly or ungodly?
How can God declare someone who is ungodly to be righteous? Wouldn’t that make God an unjust judge? Why not?
What does it mean to “count righteousness” to someone?
What are ways that we avoid receiving salvation as a gift?
Read 2 Corinthians 5:20–21. How would you explain verse 21 to an unbeliever?
