Self Titled, That Armless Guy, George Dennehy lets no challenge keep him down. Left in a Romanian orphanage as a baby, he has pushed aside and not fed. Determined even as an infant, George defied all odds and lived 1.5 in this state, until some angels, The Dennehy's adopted him and moved him to the states. He was a 1.5-year-old who weighed 9 pounds. Embracing music as a youngster, he learned how to play the cello by using his feet. The first one in the world to accomplish that, with only one exception, his music teacher. Who taught herself how to play it with her feet so she could teach him. As he grew in talent he also learned guitar and some basic piano. While playing Iris by GooGoo dolls at a local fair, someone in the audience videoed him playing and put it on YouTube. The video went viral quickly and the GooGoo dolls discovered it and asked him to play the song with them at a music festival. He plays music frequently and uses his talent to serve the Lord in worship, playing in live performances, and in his youth group where he is the youth minister. He's an incredibly motivated and inspirational young man, who now is also a father. I really enjoyed talking with George who is light-hearted and fun, and totally embraces the full identity of who he is in Christ. Be inspired by this interview.
