God is a giver.  It is His nature to give.  And as followers of Jesus we should be givers as well.  God gave the ultimate gift when He gave His Son to be the ransom for our sins and life.  Jesus didn't lay His life down begrudgingly but laid it down willingly because of His love for mankind.  Salvation is the perfect and most amazing Gift He could ever gift us.  Why?  Because everything else that He gives hinges on salvation.  Without salvation what are the gifts of the Spirit?  Without salvation what are the blessings that He gives?  The gift of salvation is the gift of Christmas!
