It is so easy to criticize others. There are times when a few folks get together and gossip about someone and the group gets a kick out of such an exchange. How easy it is to jump on that bandwagon and bring others down. Plus, it is so much more fun in a group. 

But what about you? Where is the reflection about those things in all of our lives that need to be addressed? Who among us is free from blame or criticism? Who among us is perfect? We keep secret those things that we know make us subjects of criticisms so that we appear to be above the level of those whom we critique. If the truth be told, perhaps we are even worse than those whom we judge.

It is time to be honest with ourselves and the world. It is time to transform our lives such that we can have an authentic existence without the pretense of being better and without the fear of being discovered or “outed.” That is the beginning  to having the authentic life that God has designed for all of us.
