Season 3, Episode 2: Creativity is Our Birthright ft. Nadia Payan - a podcast by adé PROJECT

In this episode, I bring artist, wellness practitioner and facilitator, Nadia Payan to the sanctuary for storytelling and cultural exchange! Together, we explore the multiplicity of identity as a child of the Diaspora, creativity as a birthright and the promise in possibility when we choose to take inspired action. In December 2021, Nadia Payan took the stage at TEDxDelthorneWomen (Los Angeles, CA) delivering thunder with "Reclaiming Your Creativity in a Time of Capitalism" which already has nearly 700 views, and climbing. Nadia's creative call to action from the stage of TEDxDelthorneWomen was certainly not the first, as they also serve as co-creator of Aligned Visionaries, co-host of Magic Jungle and an early childhood Montessorian which is legacy-building work with Mrs. Payan's School (founded by her mother in 1997). I had the honor of meeting Nadia as a fellow participant in Sowing Post-Capitalist Seeds, a workshop designed to dissect capitalism and explore alternatives to the economies we've been given. It is not hard to see that Nadia truly embodies the work and message she is putting out into the world, and in her own words, "...the act of conscious creating and art making can pave a pathway to our inner world. Embracing this self awareness can set us free. Free to connect with our authentic self, our truest essence and power. Free to share our truest selves with the world". 

As 2022 unfolds, you can catch Nadia co-visioning and co-creating with the Magic Jungle (which had a sold out retreat in the Yucatan in February!) and Aligned Visionaries teams as well as holding space for conscious conversation on Instagram; within the community that surrounds The Imagination Times, a monthly exploratory digest centering conscious creative practices, psychospirituality, and authentic ways of being (authored by Nadia); or out in the world as their creative inspirations once focalized in the Miami, FL community expand to wrap the globe in radiant light, in Nadia's authentic ways. Ultimately, Nadia's work gives us all a model for reclaiming our creative power, tenderness and holding complexity, embracing our authentic selves and experiences difference with an open heart.
