Rachel comes from a sports family and as far as she can remember sports was always on the TVHer brothers were into all types of sports and jokingly she feels her claim to fame is church volleyball

Originally she thought that she wanted to be a general assignment reporterAttended Auburn University and was immediately hooked on sports reporting after interviewing Auburn baseball head coach as a studentA pivotal decision in her career was to be a freelance reporter for sports rather than take a general reporter in TV

Managed a hair salon early in her career as she was still working for free for local sports radioHas focused on creating her own narrative rather than having someone else shape her narrative

Founded Changing the Narrative simply known as #changingthenarrative to empower athletes to create their own narrative for goodLoves sports because of the human element within sports and the personal stories
