Turned pro in 1995 and for his very first pro event he missed his flight to the eventBecame a PGA Tour professional in 1997 winning Rookie of the Year
Defeated Tom Watson in 2009 The Open Championship to become a Major Champion but almost didn’t make it to the first hole of the playoff because of a minor accident in a golf cart carrying him to the playoff hole
