Speaking in Tongues is one of the more mysterious spiritual gifts, and because of this, it has even been feared by some believers. Some fear that they might accidentally "curse God" or "speak from a different spirit." Paul demonstrates, it is possible to speak in tongues without having the interpretation yourself (1 Cor 14:13), so how do we walk out this gift with the peace that we do so in purity and in worship to God?

Because of these fears, the gift of tongues has been forbidden in some circles and the Holy Spirit quenched, but is this the desire of God? Is it not in the welcoming of Holy Spirit, and the practice of spiritual gifts with discernment that we can avoid evil spirits in the first place?
