Afghan women in hiding, scared to be targeted by the Taliban - a podcast by ABC Radio

Publicly, the Taliban have pledged to respect women's rights within the limits of Islam but on the ground, Taliban militants are going to door-to-door looking for women to marry off to Taliban fighters.

At least 15 women who signed up for a women's empowerment project in Kabul are now in hiding, too scared to leave their homes even to buy water, according to a university student who lead the project.
