Capturing the breathtaking Lake Eyre - a podcast by ABC Radio

A vast desert lake in South Australia has been soaking up the latest bout of heavy rainfall, with bursts of colour completely transforming its typically dry plains.

Doug Gimesy photographed the spectacular scenes at Lake Eyre, which stretches for more than 9000 kilometres and is the lowest point on mainland Australia.
