In August 2012, Private Robert Poate was relaxing in his barracks in Afghanistan when all of a sudden, gunfire rang out.

The shots were fired by an Afghan National Army soldier, who was a sleeper Taliban infiltrator, and three Australian soldiers, including Robert, were killed in the attack.

The horrific incident led to a five year quest by Robert Poate's family to find out what happened to their son, and whether the murders could have been prevented.
