The G20 has issued a communique watering down the commitment to net zero emissions by 2050 and excluding any end date for coal.

Former European Commissioner for Climate Change Connie Hedegaard says the outcome will make it harder to deliver more ambitious carbon cuts at the UN's climate negotiations in Glasgow which is already shaping up as a very difficult summit.
