With Australia racing towards the 80 per cent vaccination target, a fresh fight has broken out between the states and territories and the Commonwealth, this time over hospital funding.

The states and territories wrote to the Federal Government asking it to agree to a 50-50 split for hospital funding but the Health Minister Greg Hunt has rejected those requests.
