Sydney remains on a knife edge, with the New South Wales government stopping short of ordering a lockdown as COVID-19 cases and exposure sites grow.

The Australian Medical Association in NSW says they're supportive of the current restrictions and the abilities of contact tracers, but it's a "close call" whether a lockdown should be enforced.
