Melanoma researcher Richard Scolyer awarded Queen's Birthday Honour - a podcast by ABC Radio

One of Australia's top cancer researchers credited with increasing the life expectancy of people with advanced melanomas has been recognised in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours.

Surgical pathologist Richard Scolyer developed a skill for identifying signs of melanoma in the tissue of patients early in his career and has gone on to publish hundreds of papers and lead major advances in melanoma treatment.
