More than 2,000 children sick with COVID are currently being treated in New South Wales in hospitals and at home, with three of them now on respirators in intensive care units.

But Dr Joanne Ging, Director of Clinical Operations at Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, says that most of the children with COVID either have no symptoms or only have a mild illness that lasts for a few days.
