Tonga to remain cut off from the world for weeks - a podcast by ABC Radio

Communications to the stricken pacific nation of Tonga could remain crippled for weeks after an undersea cable linking it with Fiji and the rest of the world was severed during last Saturday's devastating volcanic eruption.

A repair ship will soon depart Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea bound for the region, but it's not clear when it will be able safe enough to begin repairs.
