Unemployment rises to 5.2 per cent - a podcast by ABC Radio

The unemployment rate in October rose by an unexpectedly large 0.6 per cent to 5.2 per cent, as the economy shed 46,000 jobs, mostly in Victoria.

The Federal Government says it's a reminder of the damage done by lockdowns, and says the increase in the participation rate reflects optimism over the easing of restrictions.
