Australia's privacy watchdog is warning law reform is needed to deal with the growing use of technologies like facial recognition cameras and spyware, everywhere from shopping centres to our own homes.

The Federal Government is taking feedback on a potential overhaul of privacy law, which is expected to be unveiled later this year.
