There was hope yesterday that the banks of Lismore's Wilson River may hold, but after hours of unrelenting rain reaching up to 400 millimetres in some parts, the levee has breached once more.



Exhausted residents in the CBD were forced to evacuate again, just hours after being told they could return home.
