The Federal Government has settled on amendments to its contentious religious discrimination bill, after lengthy debate inside the party-room.

But Olympian and mental health advocate Ian Thorpe, who is campaigning with Equality Australia, says the bill amounts to "state-sanctioned" discrimination.
