National vet shortage: Australia seeking at least 800 vets to fill industry gap - a podcast by ABC Radio

Overseas veterinarians can now request special exemptions to enter Australia in an effort to address a national vet shortage which has been exacerbated by COVID-19.

The Australian Veterinary Association has flagged at least 800 more vets are urgently needed across Australia to fill a shortfall, and say pressure on the industry has intensified as a result of the 'pandemic puppy boom'.
