Vic quarantine proposal "smoke and mirrors" - a podcast by ABC Radio

The Defence Minister Peter Dutton has dismissed Victoria's request for funding for a dedicated quarantine site close to Tullamarine Airport as "smoke and mirrors".

The Victorian Government has asked the Commonwealth to fund the construction of a 500 bed facility at an estimated $200 million dollars or a 3,000 bed facility for $700 million dollars. But Joseph Haweil, the Mayor of the City of Hume says the proposal came as a surprise to them.
