Flooding has damaged the Yallourn power station and coal mine prompting the Victorian Government to declare a state energy emergency.



The announcement comes with thousands of residents in the La Trobe Valley, Dandenong Ranges and outer Melbourne now told to wait for up to three weeks for power to be reconnected to their homes, after wild storms lashed the region more than a week ago.
