Countdown staff have had a surge in verbal abuse following the terror attack on Friday.
The LynnMall store in west Auckland has been closed for a week since Ahamed Samsudeen stabbed several shoppers.
It's likely to reopen tomorrow with increased security measures.
Countdown's Kiri Hannifin told Checkpoint that two nights ago a staff member at the door of a supermarket was checking for masks and limiting the numbers of people entering the store, when they were abused.
Hannafin says the incident has been referred to the police. And she says the company has purchased body cameras for staff to curb a surge in violence and verbal abuse.
