A shortage in supply of timber for building projects is being labelled "a comedy of errors" that's going to cause a lot of stress and hardship for small-time builders.
Supply constraints means Carter Holt Harvey - one of our biggest timber manufacturers - has stopped selling structural timber to ITM and Mitre 10, prompting fears costs will increases and construction will slow.
