The Waitangi Tribunal is being told the government needs to apologise for failing to ensure M?ori have adequate housing.
The hearing into how the Crown has perpetuated M?ori homelessness is underway at Te Puea marae in M?ngere.
The marae has opened its doors to hundreds of homeless wh?nau over the last five years and found them a place to live.
