The United Nations has drummed up millions of dollars in emergency funds for Afghanistan - which could run out of food as soon as the end of this month.
Poverty is spiralling, and public services are close to collapse.
Under the Taliban there's no economic plan, and the country's new Cabinet is yet to be formed.
World Vision has restarted its programmes in Afghanistan, providing urgently needed food and nutrition support to children and their families.
Corin Dann spoke to World Vision Afghanistan National Director Asuntha Charles.
