The industry body representing international airlines in this country says the requirement for travellers to self-isolate must be removed as soon as possible.
The Government yesterday unveiled a five-stage plan to reopen New Zealand's borders from late this month, with a period of self-isolation required for most travellers.
But the Board of Airline Representatives says unless this is changed by the end of March, many airlines will not fly to New Zealand next summer, because it's uneconomic.
The board's executive director Justin Tighe-Umbers spoke to Susie Ferguson.
