A new breast cancer screening system is seen as a step forward in the early detection of the disease, but the Breast Cancer Foundation says it's not enough.
The new system, announced by the government yesterday, will proactively identify and enrol those who are elegible but aren't in the screening programme.
It will replace the existing "opt-in" system, where people choose to enrol for breast screening via their GP or by calling an 0800 number.
Adele Gautier is the foundation's research and advocacy manager.
