The weather is still having a huge impact on services across the Canterbury region.
Some recycling and rubbish collection services are on pause, and there are numerous road closures.
Schools, kura, and early learning services are all closed today.
A state of emergency region-wide was declared yesterday afternoon, by the Mayor of Christchurch and Chair of the Civil Defence Joint Committee, Lianne Dalziel.
