Consultation closes tomorrow on how often M?ori voters should be allowed to switch between the general and M?ori electoral rolls.
Many M?ori are highly critical of the current rules which allow people to switch rolls only during a four-month window every five or six years.
There are over 200,000 people on the M?ori roll, which determines the number of M?ori electorates and the number of M?ori seats in parliament.
Reporter Te Aorewa Rolleston has the story.
