Aucklanders with impulsively cut fringes or bargain dye kits may be eagerly ringing hairdressers and barbers this week, which are now allowed to open from Thursday.
The early opening is part of the trial period for the government's My Vaccine Pass, and comes with a slew of Covid-19 regulations. All staff and clients are required to be double-vaccinated and carrying valid passes.
Clients will also be required to wear masks when not in the salon chair, and store owners must adapt their layouts to follow two meter distancing guidelines.
Eden Terrace's Killer Hair owner Mimi Kelly, and the CBD's French Revolver Studio owner Brad Lepper spoke to Corin Dann.
