Auckland primary school principals are relieved they are not reopening their classrooms to more children today.
They say it is not worth risking people's health even though the ongoing lockdown is harming some pupils' learning.
The region's schools have now been closed for ten weeks - eight weeks of classroom time and two weeks of holiday.
