Aucklanders now have to wait until the middle of September to find out when tough lockdown rules will ease and they might move out of alert level 4.
The city now has 547 people infected with the dangerous Delta variant - and increase of 53 from Sunday.
While the rise in cases has slowed that's still a long way from the goal of stopping community spread.
