Tourism Industry Aotearoa wants the borders to be reopened soon after the country hits a peak in Omicron cases.
Cabinet ministers are expected to nut out the country's border re-opening plan when they meet today and an announce could be just days away.
A staged timeline was outlined last year, which would've allowed most vaccinated travellers to skip MIQ and isolate at home from the end of April.
That was delayed due to the risk of Omicron.
Tourism Industry Aotearoa spokesperson Ann-Marie Johnson spoke to Corin Dann.
