Low rural vaccination rates in the central North Island has residents concerned about what will happen when Covid-19 reaches the region.
Ruapehu dairy farmer and Federated Farmers provincial president Luke Pepper says wIth as many as 30 percent of people in his community currently unvaccinated and the nearest major hospital two hours away, it is a "recipe for mayhem".
