As DHBs brace for an influx of Covid-19 cases, the Government is banking on oral anti-viral treatments to help ease the pressure.
However an Infectious Disease expert is warning it could take months for such drugs to be made widely available.
National's spokesperson for health says even if treatments get Medsafe approval, there might not be enough to go around.
