New Zealand is donating more Covid-19 vaccines to both the Pacific and the COVAX initiative - which supports global equitable access to the vaccine.
The move has just been announced by the Government. This country will donate 708,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine to the COVAX Facility to support vaccine programmes in developing countries.
It will also provide the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine to the Cook Islands, Niue and Tokelau to support vaccination of their 12 to 15 year olds from October.
Associate Health Minister, and Minister for Pacific Peoples Aupito William Sio spoke to Corin Dann.
