The National Party's Covid-19 spokesperson is backing the government's move to temporarily block arrivals from India, although he hopes it will not continue in the medium to long term.
It was announced on Thursday that a security guard at an Auckland MIQ facility has tested positive and the subsequent announcement that from this Sunday, until April the 28th, no one can enter New Zealand if they've been in India in the previous 14 days.
hris Bishop told Morning Report he would be interested in seeing the government's legal advice on the move, but he believes the numbers of people arriving from India with Covid-19 justified the suspension.

National is also demanding that the Government make key changes to strengthen the border amid a surge in coronavirus cases internationally.
