Auckland principals are unsure how much the lockdown will set back children's learning.
Based on last year's experience, they will need to run catch-up lessons for those who need them most, once classes resume.
The city' schools were just three weeks into the third term when Covid-19 hit and may not re-open until next term starts in mid-October.
